End of Service Benefit Calculator
This tool is a simple way to calculate the end of service benefit for private-sector employees in general. It calculates the benefit according to the provisions of the law and based on why the employment contract ended.
Calculate your end of service benefit
Note: This is an estimate based on the data you enter and the provisions of the Saudi Labor Law as last amended (in force since 19 February 2025). It does not replace consulting a specialist or a lawyer in special cases.
How is the benefit calculated?
Half a month’s wage for each of the first five years and a full month’s wage for each year after that; partial years are calculated proportionally (Article 84).
On resignation: nothing before two years, one third from two to under five years, two thirds from five to under ten years, and the full benefit after ten years (Article 85).
Full benefit in cases of force majeure, for a female employee within six months of her marriage contract or three months of giving birth (Article 87), and when leaving work under Article 81.
No benefit when the contract is terminated during probation or under Article 80.
When terminated without a legitimate reason, Article 77 compensation is added, with a minimum of two months’ wage.
The wage used is the last wage including fixed allowances. The benefit is paid by the employer under the Labor Law and is separate from the social insurance (GOSI) system.
